Then, the expert eyes of our Dr. George will exam the health of your gums and teeth, and make further recommendations. For an extra layer of protection, we recommend a fluoride treatment.
So What is a Fluoride Treatment?
A Fluoride Treatment is very quick and effective preventive measure against cavities and tooth decay. Fluoride is essentially painted on your teeth; providing an additional barrier that protects from plaque build-up. Afterwards, we ask our patients not to rinse, eat or drink for at least 30 minutes in order to give the your teeth time to absorb the fluoride. Of course, depending on your current oral health, we may recommend a fluoride treatment as frequently as every three months. Regardless, a fluoride treatment is one the best preventative measures our patients utilize between appointments.
